I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I thought there were some interesting aspects being explored in this new world with some heartbreaking family aspects. What it ended up feeling like were two stories that felt too short so they combined them into one, without any real solid flow.

I could do without the primary story of part 2 and focus more on the world and game hunting and such, I feel like there was so much more potential than the ending we got.
