I actually really liked this. I don’t know if this is just because I’ve gotten so used to really slow fantasy books (GAME OF THRONES) but the pacing of this book seemed kind of off to me until I got used to it, everything happened really quickly and there were a lot of time skips, not a bad thing at all just something that I thought was noteworthy.

I loved the characters, I found myself not knowing who to side with, who was a villain, who to trust, and although the major plottwist was predictable (in my opinion, I caught on like 5 chapters before the reveal) I thought it was extremely well done and added another layer to the story.

Obviously, the wlw rep is immaculate. Love a slowburn. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
