I think I waited too long to read this final book in the 5th Wave series. I was a bit lost until I got into it and remembered what had happened. I still think I would have benefited from reviewing the first two books in the series before reading this one. If you waited between books, I suggest a refresher.

There is sadness in this book, I wasn't expecting the ending and while it made sense, it was sad and hard to deal with.

If you enjoyed the first two books, you are sure to enjoy this one. There is no lacking in energy, adventure, and action. The characters you know and love or hate, are there and still fighting through what's become of their world. Cassie has been my favorite character throughout, but in this book I came to connect with Ben in a way that I hadn't in the previous books.

I recommend this book for readers of Sci-Fi and/or futuristic and dystopian fiction.
