I adore this entire trilogy! It brought me spiritual renewal and my heart was refreshed! In my mind, these Christian fantasy books are right up there with Lord of the Rings and Narnia.

In this last book, we see Robby's character making the tough decisions. He's such a conflicted complex person, and his struggle to find the truth and choose the good is passionately written.
The whole story is epic adventure in a grand tradition with courage, faith, and sacrifice. It gets really intense and keeps the reader fully engaged. I cried a few times, either from joy or sadness! The writing is just so powerful!

I really liked the inclusion of the "Lost Chapters", where the author shows a few deleted scenes that didn't make it into the original publication. So interesting to have that backstory.
