I mean... I knew from others that this was going to gut me and boy, was that correct. THIS WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. There is one central, important message: everyone has a voice, even if their literal voice is gone. The fact that no one had ever "seen" or "heard" Archer for who he really was, for his entire life was just heartbreaking. It made my heart ache. Archer just made me feel a lot of things, okay? He was so broken and isolated when Bree found him, and had never really been shown any kind of love. It was amazing to see it all unfold, this man going from a recluse to the beloved town hero. And their love was just beautiful!

Bree was a wonderful main character because she was just genuinely a good person and deserved so much more than she had been handed, before arriving in Pelion. And Archer was the same, which is why I think it worked so well. Two broken but beautiful people fall in love in the most unexpected of circumstances, but it's fate. I love that Bree acknowledges this in the book; that it truly was fate that brought them together.

The smut was definitely so hot! They had a palpable chemistry and you could definitely feel it leap off the pages.

Also, THAT EPILOGUE. All I will say is it gave me everything I ever wanted!!!
