The newest book in the Love in the City series has arrived! I preordered the ebook and then woke up at 5am unintentionally the day it released and was thrilled to see it available for me to read when I wasn't able to sleep anymore! I finished the book later that day and have to say, Josie and Cory might be my favorite couple of the four! We met them all the way back in book one as Cory is Kat's brother and owns the bar they all hang out at, Bounce, and Josie is one of his employees. There were definite vibes between them in precious stories but Cor was also known as a bit of a player ad now we learn that there is 12 years between them but both have been secretly pining for one another the last five years anyways. Five years of pining! Throw in some (sort of) forced proximity when the shelter Josie volunteers at floods and she takes one of the rescues she loves home but then gets kicked out of her apartment and Cory invites them to stay with him and you have the makings of an excellent story. Again, look for content warnings for his one. Oh, and I fully decided to subscribe to Kobo+ because my library holds were taking too long for the rest of the series after book one!
