Pretty Baby
by Mary Kubica
Having read four Kubrica books, it clear that she has her tropes, like people having heterochromia (It's not that rare I guess) and also babies.
This haa three narractors and I would say Willow was the most interesting narraction for me. It's not really thriller mystery but you're giving all the pieces, making more a drama. I get the reason for the other POVs but they ended up being really secondary.
Sidenote: Heldi being anti-adoption really tanked her likable. They clearly had money to do it if they really wanted to (like make it work), so obviously done for quick plot. They could have been other circumstances for them never having adopted. Other plot things that happened were dumb, like Zoe being drugged and throwing the ring away. It could have just Fell off the hook and was behind something. It seemed like a really lazy edit to fix that plot hole of where Zoey was.
