I have tried many times to get into poetry, but each time I've tried I just found myself bored and eventually thought that poetry just wasn't for me. but after hearing such praise for this book, I decided to give it one more try.
There were a few poems that touched out sensitive subjects and at times reading them did make me feel uncomfortable, but my the end I felt stronger with myself and how I feel towards myself.

I will admit that I didn't love all of the poems but there were at least 14 that I loved so much that I took note of the page numbers. Reading this has actually opened my mind to poetry again and I think I just need to find the right ones to read.
