I'll See You in Paris
by Michelle Gable
What a whirlwind of a story! This turned out to be one of my favorite historical fiction books. The characters are captivating and I enjoyed trying to put together all the pieces of each of their stories. And the book transitions between time periods smoothly and clearly. Gable also does such a fantastic job of making the reader feel like they are really there - up close and personal - watching all of those stories unfold.
A quick note relating to the title: I originally chose to read this book because I thought most of it would take place in Paris, but it mainly takes place in England. However, some of the most exciting parts take place in Paris.
