Oh my goodness. This book is something that I know I would have adored my whole life to this point had I read it as a child. How it passed by me as an avid reader, I can only wonder. Even reading it for the first time in my twenties, I know it's a story I'll come back to again and again. It almost has the feeling I had when reading the novel of Howl's Moving Castle for the first time, before coming across the film.
It's rare to read a children's book which both inspires and brings fear, whilst yet having a delicious indescribably defining heart. I know that going forth, this will be my go to story to share with any children in my life. With it's nature it's maybe not a book for all but it's definitely one that must be read.
