This book is more of a women's issues/contemporary fiction than it is contemporary romance, and I did end up enjoying it! 

Most of the book is about Hara seeking her birth family and reconciling her identity as she has never felt completely American or completely Korean. While the story includes a slow burn romance, it really isn't the primary focus. I enjoyed reading a book set in South Korea and learning about some of its customs, words, food, and history - best part of the book for me!  😊

If you want a ROMANCE, this probably isn't the best book for you. But if you want a contemporary novel about interracial adoption and/or South Korea, you should give it a go!
