. I like when authors borrow ideas from other works, but not when it's almost identical in a plot set in a different universe and just call it a day. It had its moments of brilliant writing. I wasn't sure what to expect I enjoyed it enough. Not picking the rest in the series, but this is well written, just not my thing.
