When I read The Fourth Monkey I kept wondering if it was just Se7en and The Silence of the Lambs mixed together or if it was more original than that. It was entertaining but I now believe it was the former.
This sequel shows that the writer lacks originality. The plot is so covuluted and the characters are so unbelievable it affects how I feel about this first book. The twists are horrible but what they lack in quality is made up by the quantity.
