I’m absolutely left longing for more! This book is a great start to YA books making a comeback with a vengeance. It reads exactly like I hoped it would! A dark, atmospheric juvenile detention school for the paranormal, for those who act a little extra bad. Our main character is the daughter of the headmistress and has never left the secluded island off the coast of Texas where it is located. Clementine and Jude have great chemistry, yet the storyline is beautifully woven with secrets and confusion. I particularly enjoyed the hurricane aspect, considering I grew up in Florida; it DEFINITELY added a high level of stakes to the book, along with the twists and turns we experienced! I really loved this, and I think it’s a beautiful start to paranormal fantasy making a comeback!
