I don’t know what took me so long to pick this book up, because it was so much fun! I wasn’t really expecting a modern setting, but the world building is fun and easy to follow. The FMC, Selene, is very funny and relatable. And Memnon the Cursed? More like Memnon Has Never Done Anything Wrong In His Life. I love an obsessed man, and I love it even more when they think the FMC is their long lost love. Memnon is big, intense, and a little scary…and I love him. Plus he gives her nicknames in an ancient language?! SWOON. Selene is a stronger woman than me, because I’d have immediately accepted that I was his wife from day one 🤣

The coven dynamics and magic system are unique, and the true crime aspect adds a level of mystery and drama. The cliffhanger is pretty alarming, and I definitely can’t wait to pick up the next book to see what happens!
