3.5 stars. I enjoyed the main conceit about death and how it is handled by “reprinting” from a person’s saved-off neural network. The main story is OK. The romance subplot is cringy, almost Fourth Wing in its juvenile feel. 

I don’t need to read further into the series but it was a decent audiobook.
