I have loved this author's previous books, but this one just felt different for me and fell really flat for me. It just didn't have that signature charm that her other book have had and felt... bland and boring. I just couldn't connect with the characters at all. First of all, Lachlan says he's been in love with Ainsley since day one but had a daughter with someone else. That doesn't sit right with me. The brother's best friend and single dad tropes are the main ones here, but they weren't done very well. There were some funny moments here and times I had fun, but overall I didn't care for the miscommunication and the back and forth that was present. I am looking forward to the next book in this series and hope it is better for me.
