I loved this book. It's pretty much the perfect middle grade mystery novel - fun, cosy, intriguing, fast paced and gripping. This time I managed to guess part of what was going on, while other things I didn't guess but looking back the clues were there all along - exactly as it should be in this type of mystery story. 

I also have to mention the illustrations by Elisa Paganelli, which are gorgeous, as is the front cover. 

I was about half way through the book yesterday when I ordered the next one. I could read the Adventures on Trains series all day.
