Justice Society of America, Vol. 3: Thy Kingdom Come, Vol. 2
by Alex Ross, Geoff Johns
This might be my favorite volume yet.
So Gog from Kingdom Comes timeline passed down his mantel to Mogog and he is the start of the revolution for the heroes in there. Superman remembers that and when Gog shows up in the current timeline he tells them he must be stopped. However, soon Gog is reborn, and is a god himself. A thousand foot creature begins to roam the earth but not attacking, more like healing, and stopping war. However, the gifts he begins to give people may not be what they seem.
Good: The way this idea of a god roaming our world is very interesting. If one day wake up and a god begins to walk around healing people what would you do? The heroes of the justice society and justice league both come face to face with him to try and find out his true nature. However, all seems normal. It's a interesting concept and one I really enjoy. I also like the side stories with Damage and what happens with him, some amazing moments like the society getting attacked, and the older members going insane on Gog when their young ones are hurt. I also loved Power Girls arc and what happens to her.
Bad: I liked Damage arc though the whole "trying to get laid" thing now is kind of meh.
Overall this was fantastic and interesting look at god-like beings walking the earth. I can't wait to finish up the final arc here and hope it remains as interesting as it started. A 4.5 out of 5.
