Avengers, Volume 1: World Trust
by Geoff Johns
Wow this was not what I was expecting from super star Geoff Johns.
No really. This was a messy first volume with very very basic plotting. Got Iron-man, Cap, and Thor leading a mix mashup of different heroes to find out why an attack is happening. This is really just a huge volume of different avengers fighting and bickering with some cool fight scenes thrown in every once in awhile. I know, that sounds like every team up book, but this didn't hold a threat worth remembering, or character interaction worth noting.
Good: The art is fine. It does the job. There's some good moments with Cap and Falcon.
Bad: The rest was kind of a blur. I barely remember the villains, the character interaction was okay at best, everything felt pretty meh. That's the big issue, it was boring.
Overall, this is not Green Lantern. Johns has done better than this. Can't give this higher than a 2.
