Stone Cold
by Winter Renshaw
While under the influence of some cold meds Jovie accidently tags herself in the engagement photo of her ex and this moment opens up things from the past that Jovie wasn’t expecting, including her ex’s best friend Stone.
Stone and Jovie have a long history together, though it has now been several years since they have seen or spoken to each other. They aren’t really enemies, but they aren’t really friends either. But they are complete opposites of each other. Jovie is a romance author and Stone is a divorce attorney. She is full of sunshine and happiness and Stone is somewhat cold and closed off.
I loved Stone. He had a lot of layers and I loved that they were slowly uncovered and he really wasn’t as cold as he seemed. Especially when it came to Jovie. Not to mention he was a great friend to Jude, even though Jude wasn’t the greatest person a majority of their friendship. I loved Jovie, too. She was a ball of happiness and even though she hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to relationships she never let that get her down. There is a ton of chemistry between Stone and Jovie and while their personalities were opposites they shared a lot of the same interests.
If you’re looking for a slow burn, opposites attract, frenemies to lovers, secondish chance romance this is one to check out.
