End of Watch by Stephen King

description

I feel poopy.

So i admit, listening to this audiobook was a bad, bad, utterly terrible idea. I was trying to multitask, that's all i wanted to do. It all started with my hectic work and my complaint of never having enough free time to read. So i decided to work and read at the same time. It sounded like a good idea until i realised that listening to audiobook feels like watching a movie. It's somehow more real for me.

If i just read the book i wouldn't cry this much, probably.

I've said this and i will say it again. I don't know a lot of sequels that could live up to the first book, in fact, not many writers could pull it off. But with this trilogy, the second book didn't disappoint me and neither was the third one. I am extremely satisfied.

End of Watch is an emotional rollercoaster (most endings are.) Especially if you listen to the audiobook, in my opinion. Will Patton did a great job narrating this one and I just have to say I feel more emotionally involved and I fell in love with his Holly Gibney voice.

All in all, I had high expectations for this book and all of them are met. I said in my review of finders keepers that i want more Brady Hartsfield and his complex characterization and I'm glad I get exactly just that in this book.

Final verdict: 5/5
