i wanted to love this so much more than i unfortunately did.
towards the end i think i grasped what my main issue was: the author primarily was telling rather than showing which led to a rather disjointed narrative. i couldn’t develop a connection to the overall story and… nothing happened? i could’ve skipped most of the book and still work out what was happening (nothing)
i think after loving last night at the telegraph so much i was hoping this book would give me that same visceral feeling but it unfortunately didn’t :(
i still overall enjoyed this read which is why i’m giving it 4 stars but im also really disappointed :,)
(the lil cameo was my favourite part <33 and analemma of course )
