The Bookshop on the Corner
by Jenny Colgan
I actually didn't finish this book. I got halfway through and when the plot changed to romance, I gave up.
As someone with a library degree, I loved and empathized with the beginning chapters of knowing you want to help people but not being in the right "digital mindset" for changing libraries.
I enjoyed the move up to Scotland, although the author's fascination with how fresh and beautiful everything was got annoying. It may be beautiful, but a sheep farm is still going to smell like sheep (a none-too-pleasant smell).
But then it devolved into romance and it suddenly wasn't a book I wanted to read. I didn't care about her love life - I wanted to know about her bookstore!
