I ordered this one when I was on a disaster reading kick. I remember very well when Katrina happened. Even though I am well inland, we had a lot of people in our town that had evacuated, and we even had some stay for a while that wound up being students at my high school with me. That whole experience was harrowing for so many people and was just a fiasco. I recall the images of the devastation and descriptions of bodies in that stinking water, and I have no idea how I would have handled such a thing. This book was a first hand account from a survivor and what they went through before and after the storm.
