I’ve been obsessing over the surprise pregnancy trope lately and I loved book one in this series so grabbing this one was a no brainer for me. Also the baby isn’t his but he steps up anyway and something about that just makes me 🥹🫠 Davis is stoic and grumpy and about the only thing he has a soft spot for is Dakota and when I tell you this man does everything to make her feel safe, comfortable and protected he does it all. Obsessed. I just wanted to give Dakota a hug and tell her everything was gonna be ok, she was such a ray of sunshine. The suspense aspect was so good too, there was a little hint of danger running through the whole book and the ending had me sweating. If you like second chance, surprise pregnancy, small town, cowboy, no 👏🏻 third 👏🏻 act 👏🏻breakup and suspense this was really good!
