This book is fucking cool.

No distractions, no unnecessary information. Just descriptive enough to make you feel the fear, anxiety, nerves and hate our characters feel without making you jump through hoops to get there.

Furnace is a private penitentiary locking up boys and subjecting them to violence from each other and unknown horrors from a monster of a warden and his evil lackeys. It's hell and AGS takes you right down in there with our main character, Alex, as he navigates his new existence.

Early in the book I found myself thinking: where do the girls go? Is there a special prison for them? I thought about what a nightmare that would be and then forgot about it as Lockdown proved to be impossible to put down! Great story. Never a dull moment. And I NEED to jump right into the next one!
