» PLOT «
As the Summer and Halloween season is ending, Josiah and Deja are off to college. Desperate to make this year the one to remember, Deja helps Josiah finally step up and ask his crush out. But as obstacles arise, the end of the season might not end the way they thought it would.
Okay, but in the end, they didn't have to end up together . Why didn't they just subvert expectations and remained friends? Nothing really hinted at the fact that they should be more than just friends . I don't mind having overused tropes, but making Josiah's crush unlikeable AND making him end up with Deja was unnecessary .
» READABILITY «
This was a graphic novel, so it was a pretty easy read. Also a pretty fast read too.
» CHARACTERS «
The character were good, nothing too lovable or hateable.
» WRITING «
Not bad writing, but it's nothing special.
» OVERALL «
This was cute, but had some tropes I didn't like.
