I am really enjoying the Peanut Jones series. The plot and characters very much appeal to me, and the illustrations are stunning. The text and art feel integral to each other, each contributing significantly to the experience of reading the book.

As with book one (and honestly a number of other illustrated books I've read recently), there were a few pages that were a little bit hard to read as the colour of the text was too similar to the background colour of the illustration. I do wish that publishers would consider this problem more when designing illustrated books - I can only imagine it's even harder to read for somebody who is dyslexic. 

Overall I loved this; it was fun, imaginative and beautiful to look at. Highly recommended.
