I am a huge sucker for Middle-Grade books, and I really really love TKAM. This book was the best of both and was also a book about books. Basically these three kids decide that they want to commit an act of “literary terrorism” after learning about supply and demand. They learn about how if you shelve a book in the wrong section they’re basically invisible in the store, so they start shelving ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ in wrong locations intentionally to drive up demand and make people start talking about it.
If you remember loving “Frindle” or “The Landry News” this book is for you. I love watching kids take control and rising up, and I always wanted to do it myself. It’s a very quick read, very well written and extremely engaging. One of my best books of 2016.
