The Dinner List focuses on the life of Sabrina, a woman celebrating her birthday with her best friend over dinner. However, when Sabby arrives she is greeted by four other people at the table— her college professor, her estranged father, Audrey Hepburn and her ex Tobias. From there we alternate between the dinner conversation (told in time increments) and the past, which has led to these people being at the table.

And from page one we are on an emotional rollercoaster. Though tears never feel, my heart was there for Sabby. With a life that did not end up quite where she wanted. She has regrets. She has wants. She has needs. All of these come out in this beautifully written book.

Though each relationship is important, I loved the relationship between Sabby and her best friend Jessica. Life happens. People change. But deep friendships last— even through rough patches. I thought the conversation between these two ladies was something all women can relate to!
