Son of the Salt Chaser is the enthralling sequel to Daughter of the Salt King. Emel must try and remind Saalim of who they were to each other before his memories were altered by her wish. There are new characters to connect with, old threads come back, and Emel struggles to deal with the repercussions of her wish. Emel sets out on a journey of curses, forbidden magic, poison, and royalty as she attempts to reconnect with Saalim.
Son of the Salt Chaser is a satisfying sequel and finale to the Salt Chasers duology. This is a great high-fantasy duology that would be perfect for readers of S.A. Chakraborty. The worldbuilding of the Salt Chasers is rich and vibrant. I also enjoyed the audiobook, the narrator did a great job embodying Emel and Saalim. I would be curious to see more stories from this world and can’t wait to read more from A.S. Thornton! Thank you so much to A.S. Thornton for sending me a free giveaway copy of her book!
