I've always been one for reading the book before watching the film but with this, I did it the other way around.

Not the worst read ever but I don't feel like my life has been changed from reading the book. The film moved me to tears and really seemed to affect me. We can all relate to some element of this story. Maybe not the situation but certainly the emotion attached to it.

Maybe I just didn't get it? I'm not the hugest fan of books that are solely letters. I think this was reflected by how long it's taken me to read a very short book in comparison to many others.

I guess I was disappointed by this book because I expected to feel differently having read it - but maybe I was just a filter ;)
