Things We've Lost and Found by Ally Williams
4.0

I received an ARC of “Things We’ve Lost and Found in exchange for my honest review!
TWLAF is a romance novel that is both captivating and deeply felt, featuring relatable themes of trust, lust, and the fear of heartbreak.

Overall, a quick-paced, easily read romance with a little spiciness!

Now, there are a few things that I hated.
Let’s start with the incessant “mouths forming an O." This repetitive line felt like filler; what could Ally have used in lieu of, IDK, but I was TIRED of that damn descriptive statement.

This is a personal perspective; I have never heard of Char as a shortening of a male “Charlie” a day in my life, and it did bother me during those brother bonding moments! —again, nothing to really get your panties in a bunch but I hated it lol.

Neutral Points:
While I do think that the characters could have been more extensively developed, it is important to acknowledge that this is a short book, and therefore some assumptions may be necessary based on the information provided.

I thoroughly enjoyed both characters POV; it helped me develop, if you will, their personalities to my liking.

Positives
As a newly minted spice reader, I will say the spice in this one is about 1.5 at best. Double kudos to Ally for using D I C K in lieu of C O C K the majority of the time. I absolutely abhor the word cock. brownie points for actually using P U S S Y too; I’ve not come across a book yet that includes any female descriptive.

Annabelle and Layla reminded me of two of my very good friends. (Layla was my favorite, up until about chapter 26.) The conversation they had early in the book was like Déjà vu, of a conversation my friends had about 2-3 months ago!

I would give this book a 3.5; I enjoyed it, for the most part. I would definitely read a follow-up to this story!
