Look I'm sad it took me a month to finish this when it was so good!!

God I absolutely love the setting of this and the mythology behind it. Mortals, Immortals, and other beings everywhere. I loved Xingyin and how strong she was through out the book with everything she goes through, and Sue Lynn Tan made me care for both the guys in the love triangle too. I'm glad it was a happy for now feeling at the end too, I'm happy seeing Xingyin getting what she worked so hard to do from the beginning and learning about the history of the kingdom and her lineage as well.

I can't wait for the next book. I know this isn't a coherent and long review I normally do. I just loved this book and that's all I have to say without spoiling things. I would definitely recommend this to people who love mythology and retellings, fantasy with asian representation, strong willed and independent women, slow-burn romance, heartbreaking moments, love triangles, gods, dragons, celestial beings. All that good stuff. :)
