This is the first book I've ever read fully in Spanish, and it was definitely a good one to start with. All of the stories have their own charm, and although some are undoubtedly better than others, each is memorable on its own.
Las cosas que perdimos en el fuego is probably my favourite of all of them, and though it might be because it was the last story, it is also one of the ones less reliant on the supernatural and much more focused on the horror of people, which is the perfect way to finish the novel.
