I've read this book several times, as I've done with all the physical books I own (looking back now, it's hard to remember a time before I had a Kindle and access to the library's ebook catalogue); so I'm fond of it and can say definitively that it does hold up to rereads. As middle grade novels go, it's not at all bad - just pretty simplified, in terms of themes and character development and such, which actually makes it pretty good material for a book report, as I learned through personal experience.
