I don't truly know how I feel about this one... I heard rave reviews and I thought I'd give it a read. There really was no plot, and Jack really just did not redeem himself or truly grow, which I think is what bothered me the most. I mean, I loved how he was with Rose as she dealt with her sickness. But he didn't apologize or show ANY remorse for what he did to her (basically stalked and manipulated her). On one hand, I see his reasons and he ended up falling in love with her, but also, he should have just told her what had transpired and I think things would have been way different. And he wasn't just grumpy; he was a certified dick at times. It was... bland at times too, and oh my goodness, sometimes when they argued, it just dragged on and on. Like we get it, you guys disagree! Lots of unnecessary back and forth. It just didn't really do it for me like I thought it would? It just disappointed me.
