This was a family favorite when I was a kid/teenager, so I was excited to share it with my kids (8 and 5). They did pretty well and caught a lot of the humor. You can tell it's a bit dated now, with babies being left in carriages outside the supermarket and the father grumbling good-naturedly about not getting his supper. Only guess what, Dad? YOU are a person who could locate the kitchen and prepare foods while your wife is up to her eyeballs in Herdmans. JUST A THOUGHT, MY DUDE. I paused and had that little chat with my kids . . .
