so basically i get what holly black was trying to do here and add a new dimension to the jude/cardan dynamic. the power/agency dynamics between oak and wren were interesting, but by the end i really didnt care whether or not they ended up together because it was obvious they would have a happy fairy tale ending. it fell short from the original FOTA trilogy in terms of plot tbh
