The Caretaker by C.P. Harris
4.25

Noon was recently in an accident where he lost his wife and travels to Haley Cove to find the memories he's missing. There he meets Solace, and something tells him that this stranger could be the answer to all his questions.

Noon and Solace have a very emotional love story. Solace becomes strong because of all the devastation he has faced. His journey through grief and loss helps him find that inner strength he needs when tragedy hits yet again. He was really such an amazing character and one who 100% deserved all of the happiness in the end. Noon is a natural caretaker, but after the accident and losing those memories he's the one who needs more support. Solace knows this is his time to step up and be that strong emotional rock for someone who was there when he needed it. They are a perfect match and go through so much for their hard won happily ever after.

I think it was a unique use of the amnesia trope. I'm someone who wants that to be a surprise if it pops up in a book but since this hit from the first page I didn't mind knowing beforehand. The past and present intertwine from Noon and Solace's POVs, but I wish we got some insight on how Solace was feeling when Noon came back after the accident. I don't think it was necessary because both parts were written so well you could just feel the love between them, I'm just curious about it.

I really loved this series and seeing all the couples in this last book. Frankie and LeLe Bear are still the top for me, but all of these stories are just so good. I can't believe it's over and I'm really looking forward for whatever CP Harris puts out next!
