The Hate U Give
by Angie Thomas
I don't normally write reviews but this book was phenomenal. I laughed and I cried and found myself relating to, the protagonist, Starr on so many different levels. I honestly cannot put into words how this book has affected me. I can say, I have finally found a book where I, a young black woman, feel represented. That, to me, is the greatest gift this book gave me, along with the message that my voice matters. That one voice can make a difference.
