This was quite a slow burner and I didn't think I would finish it when I was early in but I'm really glad I persevered with it as it turned out to be quite a beautiful read. Well drawn characters and an actual plot (only so much naval gazing I can cope with). It was really dark in places but overall was hopeful and didn't leave me feeling utterly despairing.
