The Long Game
by Rachel Reid
Sigh. We finally get more Shane and Ilya. They are my favorite couple in this series so far because they have the most unique relationship. They both have very dominant personalities which make for an interesting dynamic.
The conflict in this story is fairly expected. Angst exists in the story, but it isn't overwhelming.
I enjoyed Cooper North's narration of Ilya and Shane, and I hope we will have more even if it is just tidbits.
****possible hockey related spoiler here***
I started reading this after both my teams were eliminated from Stanley Cup contention, and I needed a hockey pick me up story. The thing is... Rachel Reid might have a crystal ball because the cities that make it to the Stanley Cup in this book might be this year's final contenders.
