2 stars. I really should stop being so influenced by tiktok.

I love the story of the author, but his novel is very middling. Not bad, but it also isn’t great. Nothing stands out. A female cop with anxiety/pill addiction. Chauvinistic men who don’t think said cop can hold her own on the case. The cop proves them wrong. Etc. the killer is kind of cool but also done before.

Overall it was ok. I don’t regret reading it but I won’t read it again.
