This is my favorite in the series so far. A great mystery that I didn't figure out ahead of time, family drama that ends up not so bad, lots and lots of changed to Jane's friend group. As Jane and Gabriel struggle in their relationship, lots is going on in her life, including a not so welcome blast from Gabriel's past. I really enjoy how the characters have to work for things in this series. The interactions and relationships feel very real, because none of them are perfect. But in the end they have (mostly) adult conversations and figure things out - after someone almost dies of course.
