“My body isn’t just my temple, it’s my ticket out of poverty.”
I fell in love with Ren Blakely’s writing in her latest series The Drákon Legacy (as B. Lybaek). And reading Tempting Distractions is no exception.
Mia, aka Baby, is the top-rated performer at Serendipity, an infamous strip club. Alec and Kas join the team as Mia’s bodyguard and the club’s event planner, respectively. CJ meets Mia at a business class that they both take. After some time, they all fall deep in love with Mia and her with them.
I loved the different point of views from all 4 of them, and how they all make each other’s lives better, regardless of their dynamics. Mia is so powerful, knowing what she wants and how she feels about herself, no matter what anyone says, especially her mother.
Alec definitely became a fast favorite, CJ and Kas not far behind. Despite their pasts, they’re all special, and all best friends despite their personalities.
I really enjoyed their dynamics with each other, being vulnerable and intimate with each other after everything.
And that cliffhanger?
I cannot wait to continue on with Untold Secrets and continue with Alec, CJ, Kas and Mia.
Highly recommend for any dark romance, why-choose reader.
