You have to really like honey bees to fully appreciate this book. Like, *really* like them.

The book is well written, and there is lots of interesting information about wild honey bee populations, but it was far more in-depth than my mild curiosity was up for.

I did really enjoy chapter 10 and learning about the different defences hives and colonies have.

So whilst this wasn't the most well-suited read for me, I can appreciate that it would be a brilliant book for die-hard honey bee fans.
