Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner
5.0

This book was absolutely fantastic.
I teared up twice in the first 20 pages and it didn't end there.
This book is so important to read on so many levels because it is so relevant to this day and age. Carver loses his 3 best friends in a car accident where the driver was attempting to text and drive. It follows his story after their deaths, trying to cope with everyday life again.
It was sad and funny and enlightening.
My heart goes out to anyone who has had to deal with something like this. My own friend tragedy happened so long ago I barely remember the details of it. Just that my friend was there one day and gone the next.
I recommend giving this book to a teenager you know who is starting to drive. I plan on telling my cousin to give it to her daughter. It's eye opening and hopefully can get some teenagers to stop and think about texting while they're driving.
I can't wait to see what Zentner comes out with next.
