River of Ashes

The Motherf*cking ending.
I thought I signed up for a fantasy read cause I just looked at the cover and said. "Oh pretty, I love floral covers" without bothering to read the blurb of TW's!
Thriller in general is one of my least read genre but this psychological thriller of a book is something I don't regret reading.
Told in multiple POVs - from both the psycho and the victims/heroine, it made me feel like I was on the sidelines watching scenes as they unfold. Unlike other books where the multiple POVs were used as a literary measure, this was actually pretty straightforward and not at all confusing.
The plot was also designed head on that you know who's who and what their role is on the book, made it easier to gauge how much interest you need to invest on each character.
The level of creepy and triggers were posited in a way that you are mildly uncomfortable yet not disgusted enough to not continue, cause you want to know how the psycho goes down. And yes, again, that motherf*cking ending was written
